Our selection of sheets can function both as plate dampers and sound insulation sheets, where as plate dampers they dampen vibrations in thin plate constructions, and as sound insulation sheets they provide more mass to the system and thus more sound insulation.
The plate damper materials dampen the propagation of vibrations in metal structures. They are effective against impact impacts and vibrations in thin sheet structures and are glued to the surface where the vibrations are to be damped. The plate dampers are available either as damping cardboard, foil or mass and are called AVP35, MX5, AVF, IKANET, LD13, D1D and DC Nobell.
Soundproofing panels provide better sound insulation of thin sheet structures by making the structure thicker and heavier. IAC offers soundproofing panels in the types AVP35, MX5, AVF and IKANET. The soundproofing panels can be combined with sound absorbers, e.g. IKALON, which is placed on the inside of the structure.
Panel soundproofing and soundproofing panels are used in the mechanical, shipping, transport and construction industries for e.g. noise attenuation of machines, vehicles, boats, pipes and ducts etc. and are used e.g. in engine compartments, partitions and machine enclosures.
For vibration isolation in light-gauge sheets. Water repellent.
